Colony care is only half the chaos. The other half is the pantry: food, litter, formula, and the eternal question—do we have enough for next week? PurrView Pantry is our sibling app for that work: stock, costs, donations, shopping hints, and mouths-to-feed counts you control yourself.
This is a private beta. Features will move. Access is by invitation and registration code—not open signup. If you care for cats with a small team (or a very full garage), and you want to help us pressure-test real inventory days, we’d like to hear from you.
What beta includes
- Inventory with two modes: On-Hand (category capacity, days left, low-stock banners, recent activity) and Adjust (physical counts, set/seed stock, printable count sheet, Find lot)
- Purchase, donation, consume, transfer, and damage out (damaged / expired / recalled)—most of these support multi-item barcode scan sessions
- Optional lot numbers and expiration dates on receive; recall search and open-lots export
- Locations (rescue center, combined or individual fosters)
- Adult/kitten counts for capacity math—not a second cat registry (Pantry-owned only; never pulled from PurrView)
- Days-left estimates and a shopping list you can fill in partial trips
- Barcode product catalog—including camera scan on many phones and older iPads over HTTPS
- Team invites and CSV export (stock, costs, open lots, losses & gains, cat count history) plus printable count sheets
Step-by-step screens for Inventory as shipped are in the PurrView Pantry Manual (beta) (manual last updated July 20, 2026).
What it is not
Pantry does not pull named cats or colony headcounts from PurrView. Keep colony ops in PurrView; keep bags and boxes in Pantry. Two tools, one mission.
Repurpose the hardware you already have
Early field tests include barcode scanning on older devices (for example, an iPhone 7 and a 2017 iPad) without buying a dedicated scanner for every can. Camera scan works best on a real https:// site (our production Pantry URL)—and typing a UPC still always works when a label is thin, shiny, or uncooperative.
How to join
Email [email protected] for a beta registration code, or ask your program owner if they already run a Pantry org and can send a team invite. Step-by-step screens are in the PurrView Pantry Manual (beta).
